We support people who are dealing with a variety of medical conditions from people diagnosed with a life threatening illness to people who have to live with a chronic disease. We also help caregivers who are supporting loved ones dealing with all of the factors of illness - doctors appointments, medication management, insurance questions, decreased mental and physical ability and the financial insecurity that medical problems produce.

It’s difficult to manage all that goes into a frightening diagnosis. Aside from the physical complications of chronic illness, which may prevent you from participating in activities you once enjoyed, such a diagnosis can have a significant effect on your mental health. You might experience shock, fear, anxiety, or other emotions and you might need to adjust to new routines to manage your care. Having a chronic illness can put you at higher risk for depression. It’s extremely helpful to be able to talk to someone about all of the aspects of your medical concerns. Having a concentration in Healthcare in her Social Work degree and being trained through Hospice, Marna brings a combination of experience and compassion to supporting you as you navigate complicated and difficult medical issues.
